The Comedy Cafe is a live, Vegas style comedy show began in 1989 as a one
night performance and dinner
at the Round Barn Convention Center.
It grew to two nights and moved
to the Chancellor Convention Center where it played until 2004. Dinner was
dropped and moved to the
Virginia Theatre in downtown Champaign.
The Comedy Café is a two-hours of clean humor and music performed by of Tony Clements, a 25-year veteran of the entertainment
business.
This clip is called 'Ladies' when I play the straight man on guitar. It was
great fun and an experience I'll not forget soon. As a fan of history and
architecture, having full access to the classic theater was great.
