The Origin of the Band's name

Visited a local big box electronics store and wandered through wonderfully huge flat panel tv screens. I must have shown the 'deer in the headlights 'look and was approached by a young woman named Robin. She appraised my needs and guided me through the nuances of how to make those purchase decisions.

While demonstrating advantages of the Blue-Ray player, REO Speedwagon's name origin came up. The first use of 'Speedwagon' came from a line of high speed, heavy-duty trucks. The letters R.E.O. are the initials of Ransom Ely Olds who began the Oldsmobile motor car company.

I was impressed with Robin's knowlege and accuracy and would be amiss if I let my in-store error regarding the initials stand. If you see this, Robin... Thanks!
